This one was drawn and inked with physical media, then colored digitally. Unfortunately the lines didn’t clean up as nicely as they could—perhaps I’ll go back and fix it some time but for now you’ll just have to trust me that the new inking brush I got is THE BEST I’ve ever owned.

Looking at it now it seems a bit dark. I had my brightness turned all the way up while coloring it. I don’t know how it’ll look on other people’s screens, but if it looks too dark to you please let me know so I can fix it.

Evan Dahm said it was goblin week so here’s a goblin!! I love drawing monstery faces like this, and playing around with anatomy, so it was really fun…though I think the coloring could use some work. I tried to make them look kind of androgynous. I imagine goblins have less use for gender representation than humans since they spend a lot of time grubbing around in the dark anyway.

I drew another goblin but I didn’t like it so much, so maybe after I work on it a bit it’ll go here too. (Maybe…it’ll even have a background?!)

I’ve been trying to draw every day but nothing has pleased...

I’ve been trying to draw every day but nothing has pleased me lately. Usually that’s a sign that my art style is about to change/I’m about to get better, haha…but in the meantime here’s this (kinda sloppy) comic I drew for an application a few months ago. (I got into the school I wanted and I’ll be going there this coming fall! So happy!)

One of the drawings I posted a while ago was of a recent character of mine. I mostly drew it as an exercise in trying to emulate the style of some artists that I like. But I feel that I’ve been doing that so much lately. I sat down with the basic elements of his design and tried to draw as naturally as I possibly could, and came out with a few different styles and designs. I’m still not sure which I prefer. Perhaps if I came up with a name for him, it would be easier.

Which do you like best?
